The Light from Africa Foundation recently hosted a thank you breakfast to pay tribute to our programme facilitators and partners. Director Almarie Pelser reflects on 2021 and the impact this team has had on beneficiary families.
Despite the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 was an exceptionally busy year for the Light From Africa Foundation (LFAF) team, and we could not have been able to serve so many communities without our loyal and dedicated facilitators and partners.
To show our thanks, we hosted an end of year function last month to show our sincere and heartfelt appreciation for all their efforts in successfully implementing programmes in Barrydale, Suurbraak and Buffelsjagrivier.
The challenges posed by COVID-19 never derailed the art, music, needlecraft and computer literacy programmes. In addition, 45 families, two schools and six community gardens were beneficiaries of the food garden programme.
As we look ahead, I would like to offer my sincere thanks and appreciation to our team who continues to work hard behind the scenes to make a world of difference in the lives of the communities we serve.
Baie Dankie. Enkosi. Thank You!
Almarie Pelser
