As we step into a new year, the Light From Africa Foundation is proud to share our 2025 Year in Review, a reflection on a year defined by consistency, community partnership, and long-term commitment to the people and places we serve.
Throughout 2025, LFA remained focused on sustained engagement rather than once-off interventions. Across education, youth development, digital inclusion, food security, arts and culture, and community wellbeing, our programmes continued to walk alongside communities — creating safe spaces for learning, creativity, leadership, and growth.
The 2025 Year in Review newsletter captures these moments through stories, programme highlights, and reflections from across our work. It also marks an important moment of transition for the organisation, as we honour the contribution of founding leadership while looking ahead with renewed purpose under new stewardship.
Alongside the newsletter, our 2025 Impact Infographic provides a snapshot of the collective reach of our programmes over the year — reflecting more than 26,000 meaningful engagements across rural and urban communities in the Western Cape. These figures represent ongoing relationships, repeated participation, and the steady work of building confidence, skills, and opportunity over time.
Together, the newsletter and infographic offer a window into what sustained, community-led development looks like in practice — and what becomes possible when creativity, care, and commitment come together.
